This is the IWnet Emulator made by the folks at AlterIwnet. It allows you to play Modern Warfare 2 Online on their servers. This works fine till now.
1. Check which version you have. To do this, you must answer one of the following questions.
1.1 Did you download the game from a torrent tracker? (SKIDROW, Razor-1911, etc)
If the answer is yes, you need to download the "MW2Client-from-old.7z". If the answer is no, go to question 2.
1.2 Did you get the game from Steam's free weekend?
If the answer is yes, you have the new version and you only need to download the "MW2Client-from-new.7z" which is a few megabytes.
(Failure to comply to these instructions will cause you to get "Files are different from the server" or similar errors.)
2. Extract the contents of the MW2 Clients old or new to your game directory.
3. Then Extract the files from Client Update and paste it to game folder.
4. Run "alterIWnet_configure.exe", type your name and click save.
5. Run iw4mp.exe
6. Play and enjoy.
